Acer to unveil its 43-inch 4K 144Hz gaming monitor

On Thursday, Acer during its [email protected] event unveiled its latest Predator gaming monitor. The gaming monitor titled as Acer CG437K P has a 43-inch viewable area and it has a refresh rate of 144Hz. CG437K comes equipped with a 4K UHD display, which has 3840 x 2160 as its maximum resolution. Acer’s latest Predator gaming monitor is compatible with AdaptiveSync technology for PC games, according to reports.

With three HDMI ports, a Type-C port, and a DisplayPort, the monitor is the beast in the market with good connectivity options to connect desktops or gaming consoles (PS4, Xbox One). Besides this, the monitor also has an inbuilt sensor which lets the monitor automatically adjust brightness depending upon the light conditions in the room. Also, Acer has placed a proximity sensor inside the monitor which will put the monitor to sleep if you will move away from the screen or will wake it up if you will sit down next to the screen. Acer is also providing a remote control with the gaming monitor.

Acer has used a VA panel in the Acer CG437K P, and the monitor is capable of displaying HDR visuals on the screen.  There have been reports that the gaming monitor is also capable of hitting a peak 1,000 nits brightness which provides great HDR visuals when HDR content is played over the gaming monitor. The HDR support in the monitor enhances the gaming experience of the players.

A recent report confirmed that the Predator gaming monitor from Acer would be available in the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in September. The monitor will be available for $1,299/€1,499. Sources say that the Acer will first make the monitor available in China and gamers in the country would be able to put their hands on the product for $1,488 in August.
